This Modern LifeI wanted to ask Niles his opinion on this Independent story on Brasenose College (cited below). He was working on his computer on the other side of the room, perhaps ten feet behind me, so I emailed him the URL. But in order to do that, I had to log on to my computer account in Australia, and of course he retrieved it from his computer account, which is at his workplace downtown, 20 miles away. I could have just written the URL on a paper wad and thrown it at him, but it was more convenient for it to make a 17,000 mile round trip.
